Description
The most traditional and representative wine of Massi di Mandorlaia. The care for the production of Mandorlaia Riserva begins in the vineyard, where the production per plant is drastically reduced for the benefit of concentration. The Riserva matures for two years in barriques and casks.
Grapes: Sangiovese 85%, Alicante, Merlot, and Cabernet 15%.
Vinification: in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 28-29°C and maceration for 15-18 days.
Maturation and Aging: in tini for 18-24 months in French oak barriques. Aging in bottle for at least 2 months.
Alcohol content: 13.5 – 14.5% Vol.
Tasting notes: intriguing intensity of ruby color with purple reflections with a slight tendency to garnet. Complex aromas of leather, tobacco, and black fruits. Remarkable body supported by structured and silky tannins, long finish with hints of cocoa.
